Sara was born and raised in Minnesota, but has lived in Iowa since 1996. She and her husband Scott have four wonderful children, two adorable grandsons, and one precious granddaughter. She loves spending time at the lake with family, playing tennis, traveling, and being outdoors.

Before working at Thompson & Associates, Sara worked as a journalist, a teacher, a soccer coach, and as an EMT.
