Curt has spent the last twenty years helping families structure charitable gifts to meet their financial, philanthropic, and legacy goals. He enjoys collaborating with charities and their supporters to find practical solutions to seemingly complex problems.

Most recently, Curt worked as a Senior Philanthropic Trust Advisor for Wells Fargo Private Bank. In this role he worked with clients and their legal and tax advisors to implement charitable, estate planning, and financial goals. His knowledge of charitable remainder trusts, charitable tax planning, and private foundations helped families meet their legacy planning objectives

For 16 years (10 years as executive director), Curt served in the Center for Estate and Gift Planning at Pepperdine University, helping alumni and friends support the mission of Pepperdine to educate students for lives of purpose, service, and leadership.

Curt is a licensed attorney in California and Georgia. He started his career as a commercial real estate attorney, with a practice concentrating on complex real estate transactions. This experience allowed him to structure complex real property gifts.

Curt has lectured at the Pepperdine School of Law, served as an adjunct professor of political science, presented at the Western Regional Planned Giving Conference, and published in various periodicals, including Planned Giving Today.

Curt and his wife, Leanne, currently live in Brentwood, TN.  They have two adult children and a very sweet dog. He enjoys hiking, mountain biking, and skiing.
