Beth delights in genuine connection and building value in her service to others. Her work entails guiding individuals and families to greater clarity and purpose in the transfer of their blessings—and  their values to loved ones and cherished causes.

Before entering the nonprofit arena, she was a Vice President Business Services Officer for BB&T bank where she served company owners and executives, their families and businesses. Through this experience, she gained invaluable insight to the complex priorities and concerns of business owners and their families, including risk management, wealth transfer, and business succession. This work also afforded her the opportunity to really get involved in her community, serving in various leadership roles with civic and nonprofit groups.

She transitioned to work in the nonprofit hospital setting where she developed her professional focus in connecting donors’ passions with thoughtful and beneficial giving strategies, through major and legacy gift planning. Beth now serves as a consultant for Thompson & Associates where she provides estate planning services for nonprofit supporters. Beth enjoys speaking and serving in leadership efforts through South Carolina’s planned giving council to educate development and related-industry professionals, and she recently served on the National Association of Charitable Gift Planners annual conference committee.

Beth lives with her husband Keith and three bird dogs in Prosperity, South Carolina. She enjoys time with her friends and family, nieces and nephew. Her passions include exploring the great outdoors, lake life, art, Gooddaddy Barbeque Sauce, and travel—especially to Scotland where she served as a Rotary Ambassador of Goodwill and later married. She is grateful for God’s goodness in preparing her for and leading her to a professional calling with Thompson & Associates.
