Prior to joining Thompson & Associates, Karen worked as a legal assistant for fourteen years.  Seven of those years she spent as a legal assistant to one of the Managing Partners of a well-respected major law firm in Des Moines, Iowa.  Her outstanding organizational skills, attention to detail and management of day-to-day operations allows her to become an integrated part of the team, working closely with clients and colleagues to give the very best service.

Karen lives with her husband, David, and their three children outside of Des Moines, Iowa.  They are involved in their church and enjoy time spent as a family while giving back to their community.  While not working as a Rockstar for Thompson & Associates, Karen enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, cheering on her favorite college sports team, reading, and baking.
