Derek Bell is a seasoned nonprofit executive and strategist with over two decades of experience leading development and management efforts for organizations with global impact. In his last role, he was responsible for mobilizing $5 million annually to support church-planting movements in more than 30 countries.

Prior to this, Derek was Executive Director of Love One International, overseeing a $7 million budget and a bi-continental team dedicated to medical care and holistic ministry for vulnerable children in Uganda. His leadership there included managing over $10 million in assets and directing an ambassador network that extended across North America and Europe. Earlier, he served as Managing Director of Amazima Ministries, where he led donor development efforts that raised $3–4 million annually and played a key role in strategic vision and operations.

Derek is also the founder and president of Mosaic Strategy Group, a boutique consulting firm advising nonprofit leaders, philanthropists, and faith-based organizations. His clients have included global influencers such as Bob Buford, Peter Drucker, Dallas Willard Ministries, and Amazima. Whether through campaign strategy, donor engagement, or executive coaching, Derek’s approach blends high-level strategy with deeply relational leadership.

He holds an MBA from Belmont University—where he also taught marketing and management—and a bachelor’s degree from Samford University. Derek has also served as a community pastor at Fellowship Bible Church in Brentwood, Tennessee, where he and his family remain actively involved.

Derek and his wife Jennifer live in Brentwood with their three children. Passionate about serving orphans and widows, Derek chairs the board of Both Hands Foundation, which has raised over $21 million for adoptive families. His life and leadership reflect a calling to build lasting impact through generosity, strategy, and faith.
