Jason Meredith, J.D., FCEP

Jason has been associated with Thompson & Associates since 2004. Jason is currently Executive Vice President as the lead planning attorney for all charitable estate planning.

Jason graduated from Texas Tech University in 1995 with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance. In 1998, Jason obtained his Master of Business Administration from Texas Tech University and his Doctor of Jurisprudence from Texas Tech School of Law. Jason is board certified by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization in the areas of estate planning and probate law. He is an active member of the State Bar of Texas, Dallas Bar Association, and the Dallas Estate Planning Council.

Jason began his career at the law firm of Burdett, Morgan, Williamson and Boykin, LLP in Amarillo, Texas. As an associate attorney, Jason focused his practice in the areas of estate planning and probate law. Jason advised and counseled clients on the effective transfer of personal wealth both during life and upon death. His practice involved the design, drafting, and implementation of simple to complex estate plans.

While living in Amarillo, Jason was an adjunct professor at Amarillo College teaching “Wills, Trusts, and Estate Administration” through the paralegal program. He also served on the Curriculum Development Board for the paralegal program at Amarillo College.

Jason continued his practice for several years in the Dallas area with the law firm of Andrews, Barth and Harrison, P.C. Jason focused his expertise solely in the areas of estate planning and probate law with a primary focus on planning estates valued over ten million dollars.

Jason serves as a member of the faculty of the Charitable Estate Planning Institute; a 501(c)(3) public charity, formed by a group of Thompson & Associates colleagues in 2012, offering top level education on charitable estate planning for development staff, gift planning officers and professional advisors.  He is also a Fellow in Charitable Estate Planning (FCEP) awarded by the Institute.

Jason is married and has two daughters. He and his family live in Flower Mound, Texas, a suburb of Dallas, and are active in their community and church.
