James Hohn, EA, MBA, FCEP

James offers more than three decades of knowledge and experience in fundraising, major/planned giving programs, and charitable gift planning administration. A US Department of Treasury licensed Enrolled Agent, James is passionate about the financial reporting needs of the charitable community. He often speaks at conferences and seminars to promote philanthropy and charitable giving. 

A contributing member of the professional gift planning community, James has been an active member of the Partnership for Philanthropic Planning (formerly NCPG) since 1987 and recently received notification that he had been accepted as a member of the Leadership Institute of the Partnership for Philanthropic Planning. PPP's Leadership Institute is a program that provides education, networking and service opportunities for the nations most experienced charitable planners. He continues to train professional development and administrative staffs as well as volunteers to understand and successfully conduct effective and engaging planned giving programs.

Applying in-depth knowledge of the financial structure of a nonprofit, James  created and led the philanthropic services groups of several global financial institutions. The former Vice President of the Board of Trustees for a grant making Foundation, he has advised numerous grant seekers on program evaluation initiatives and proposal structure. James is involved in several volunteer activities and serves as the Treasurer of the Belmar Historical Society.

He lives in Belmar, NJ with his wife, Dr. Lucille Maddalena. They have three grown sons and numerous granddogs.
