Stephen Davis, CPGE, FCEP

Steve joined Thompson & Associates in 2016. He has over 20 years of providing donor-centered values based estate and gift design services for health care, educational and faith based organizations. Steve has helped individuals, families and business owners create over $150 million in life-changing legacy gifts. 

He has a degree in business from Western Illinois University and a degree in pastoral studies from Moody Bible Institute. Serving as a pastor in the Chicago area for 12 years, he provided extensive counseling services. As a financial advisor with Prudential Financial Services he earned the L.U.T.C.F designation and completed CLU courses in financial and estate planning.

Steve is a graduate of the Lifestyle Giving program in charitable estate and gift design. This equips him in helping people accomplish their dreams and goals while providing for themselves, their family and the charities they are passionate about. His strong values, ethics and integrity serve him well in helping people discover ways to pass along their values along with their valuables.

Steve has a unique ability to communicate complex concepts in creative and easy to understand language. He has conducted seminars on various estate planning topics, including Financial Wellness For Women, Retirement Wellness For Physicians and Give It Away Twice…Without Giving It Away Now. He has also made presentations for local AFP chapters as well as the Association of Healthcare Philanthropy International Conference.

Steve is member of the Partnership for Philanthropic Planning, the Chicago Council on Planned Giving and the IlIowa (Illinois and Iowa) Partnership for Philanthropic Planning. He also served on the Board of the Suburban Chicago Council on Planned Giving. He also holds the FCEP designation from the Charitable Estate Planning Institute.

Steve and his wife Nancy live in Coal Valley, IL. They have five children and two grandchildren. Both of them have extensive international mission trip experience, and have been to Ecuador, Kenya, Nigeria, Cambodia, Russia and Peru.
